Handled — Support

Questions, problems, or feedback — start here.

Email us: hello@blackweb.studio. Tell us what you expected and what happened instead, and whether it's on one device or more than one. We read everything.

Someone I invited can't join

Invite links travel through Apple's iCloud sharing, so both people need to be signed in to iCloud on their iPhone (Settings → tap your name at the top). The person joining also needs Handled installed before they tap the link — a link tapped without the app will just offer to install it.

If they've already joined once and you need to start over, they can go to Household → Leave household, and you can send a fresh link.

Chores aren't syncing between our phones

Handled syncs when the app launches and when it returns to the foreground — there's no constant background connection. Close the app and reopen it on the phone that's behind. Both phones need iCloud turned on and a network connection.

If one phone has been offline, its changes sync when it reconnects. Completing a chore always wins over leaving it undone, so nothing you've actually finished gets erased by a sync.

Reminders aren't arriving

Open Today and turn notifications on, then accept the iOS permission prompt. You can confirm it worked in Settings → Notifications → Handled.

Reminders are deliberately quiet: a single morning summary, a nudge when something is actually due, and nothing at all during quiet hours (9:30 PM to 7:00 AM by default, adjustable in Household).

Handled Pro — billing and cancelling

Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple, monthly or annually. One subscription covers the whole household: the owner subscribes and everyone they've invited gets Pro too.

Manage or cancel any time in Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the period you've paid for ends. Refund requests go through Apple, not us.

Changed devices or reinstalled? Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases.

I reinstalled and my household is gone

Open the app and let it finish the "Looking for your home" check — if you were signed in to iCloud, your household comes back on its own. Don't go through setup again first; creating a new household is what replaces the old one.

Ads

The free version shows ads. Handled Pro removes them entirely. What's in your home — your chores, rooms, and the people in it — is never shared with advertisers. See the privacy policy for exactly what the ad network does collect.

Deleting your data

Household → Delete household removes everything, on this device and in iCloud, for everyone in the household. It can't be undone. If you're a member rather than the owner, Household → Leave household takes you out without touching anyone else's copy.
